Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went following her graduation with an English degree and a Communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I couldn't study or accomplish enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year studying at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) in Tuscany. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected her style of cooking. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to increase the quality of life for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my true passion to others.
